HOW WE HELP PEOPLE

I must say that it was a great impactful Bootcamp that was organized by HRDCorp, and Bavani was certainly an instrumental speaker that connected the whole program to a great success. I sincerely enjoyed the way and manner on how she addressed all the speakers as the first Keynote Speaker for the event and how she connected everyone with her expert gratitude-touch!

Bavani is a naturally gifted and highly skilled Facilitator with whom I have had the pleasure of working with several times. She was our facilitator for the program we conducted for Shell Malaysia and it was truly outstanding. She was able to challenge the thought process of our participants and encouraged them to push for actions beyond their comfort zones! We received great feedback from our clients.

Knowing her for 6 weeks truly changed my life, she inspires and motivates me and my mates in a magical way. They way she talks and share her wisdoms make us want to learn more. Firm and strict yet so motherly as well as caring. Thank you Ms. Bavani, you are truly a gem. We are surely really lucky to be taught by you.

Bavani helped organise my thoughts about my business and enlightened me about how vast my business could be and how I could develop myself further. She proceeded to shower me with all kinds of self-help tips and provided me with abundance of encouragement about how things could go right in me starting my business. In this world of negativity, I am glad to say that Bavani is a ray of sunshine who would make you see things brighter and clearer. I can’t thank her enough for being of my mentor for self development and coaching me on my business strategy.

I have known Bavani for a couple of years now. If you know her, one of the first things that strikes you is how empathetic she is. You truly feel that she is present with you and listening to you intently.

She is also my constant reminder of gratitude because that is what she champions genuinely.  As a table facilitator and coach, she is attentive, concern and supportive. As a speaker, she is kind, considerate and empathetic. It is always a pleasure having her in a tam. Whenever she is in a team with me, I always have a sense of comfort and safety.

It was such a pleasure to hear Bavani deliver the keynote speech at the HRDCorp Trainers Bootcamp. Bavani rose to the occasion and gave an uplifting, inspiring talk highlighting the importance of professional development.

Bavani shared her own experiences to connect with the audience of L & D professionals and used humour, market insights, and her wealth of experience to get everyone motivated for the 3 day bootcamp they were attending.

More than just delivering a keynote, Bavani took the time to connect with the attendees, and other speakers, to ensure everyone gained valuable insights from the event.

I came approaching her saying there was something bothering me, gave her a call and started blasting out. I probably confused her, because I know her as a friend, also a coach. She then asked, “Do you want me to be a friend? or a coach?” That question itself has started triggering my mind, “a coach, then a friend”, I said. Through that short period of coaching conversation we had, she, Bavani was able to use my self-reflection technique that I always use by pulling me out to play the role as a peer to have a full view of my own show, although it’s something I always do, but isn’t it faster and easier to get a coach, rather than until I slam the door on my face? So much of realization and awakening through the questions posted, from comparison to clarity, to knowing my priority. She has manifested one element that I have been longing for in the coaching journey, the element that I enforced myself to practice actively as a human and a coach, that is respect. Never once in our conversation she assumed, constantly assisting me to recall my gut, the voices in my heart. With that, she, Bavani helped me to regain my ownership in making one big decision based on me myself than anyone else. Thank you Bavani.

We approached Bavani and Kathy, to discuss on new ways to conduct group engagement for our stakeholders. While we have been doing countless stakeholder engagement sessions, we felt the time was right to introduce a facilitated approach in order for us to glean more meaningful insights.

Bavani together with Kathy was brilliant throughout the pilot project from the designing of the sessions through conducting the facilitated sessions to preparing the reports after. They took care to design each session specifically to the needs of the stakeholder group and location.

As a result of these facilitated engagement compared to the traditional way of our engagement, we were able to verify some things that we already knew as well as gaining some new insights into the training industry and L&D practices. We found that this approach was more effective compared to our usual methods of engagement

Their commitment really shone through after the sessions however as they meticulously put together a report that captures all the views and insights from the sessions. In view of this, we are looking forward to use this approach more widely in future.

As the Secretary General of ADFIM and organizer of the National Conference on Integrity and Governance 2023, I had the pleasure of engaging Bavani Periasamy to facilitate one of our most critical sessions. Reflecting on her performance, I am eager to share how Bavani exceeded our expectations in every aspect of her role.

Bavani masterfully managed a challenging task, engaging a room full of 200 senior management delegates from more than 40 agencies. Her approach went beyond the traditional facilitation methods. She created an interactive environment that not only encouraged but necessitated active participation, networking, and movement among the delegates. This innovative approach broke down barriers, enabling meaningful exchanges and connections that enriched the experience for all involved.

More impressively, Bavani’s session was a beacon of insight. She skillfully guided the delegates through a process of deep reflection on the conference’s discussions, ensuring that the insights gained were not just heard but truly contemplated and internalized.

Engaging Bavani for this session was one of the best decisions we made for our conference. Her expertise in leading such an impactful session demonstrated her exceptional leadership, strategic thinking, and her innate ability to inspire and engage a diverse group of professionals.

I wholeheartedly recommend Bavani to any organization looking to elevate their discussions or events to a higher level of engagement and insight. Her contributions to our conference were a testament to her outstanding capabilities.

Bavani Periasamy was one of the first international jury the Professional Speakers Association of India requested to judge their PSAI4PSAI component at their signature Annual Convention called Professional Speakers Summit 2024 (PSS24).

In its fourth year running, PSAI4PSAI is an inhouse competitive process leading to three speaking slots at the PSS24, of which one Champion Speaker is crowned the winner. It is a long and arduous exercise, spread across months.

Given the prestige and global speaking opportunity involved, it calls for a fair, patient and mature jury in addition to them being competent speakers of note. Bavani ticked all these check boxes and more.

Bavani’s keen and objective eye for a speaker’s core strength is matched with her alert sensitivity to processes and protocols. She has both the courage and conviction that makes for a credible assessor of a speaker’s merit. Bavani devoted an inordinate amount of time to all the meetings and speaker exercises involved.

This is not the first time that Bavani has been such a great friend and contributor to the PSAI. She played a significant role at our Mumbai Annual Convention in 2022 , pitching in with the important task of creating the speaker line up.

Bavani has an inherent sense of fair play and the propensity to do the right thing. Those are crucial qualities in an international jury. Coupled with her exposure to the global speaking world as Past President of the Malaysian Association of Professional Speakers (MAPS) and their GSF Board Representative later.

I am an Independent Beauty Consultant with Mary Kay, Beauty Guru & full-time university student. You can call me by those fancy names of “studentprenuer”. I connected with Ms Bavani on LinkedIn and eventually, we also connected on Facebook! I attended a one to one coaching session with Ms Bavani because I wanted to learn more on developing a resilient mindset when running my business and how to stay committed towards my goal!

That’s when Ms Bavani, shared with me about the Gratitude Journal. I was sceptical about it but I took a chance and tried it. The results from writing my gratitude were beyond that I could imagine. Emotionally, I am much happier because the journal makes me look at the negatives in a positive light. It shows me the positives that happen in my day.

In terms of business, when I’m happier I attract more business into my life. I practised the gratitude journal for just 15 days, I broke my own personal sales record! I did the number of sales that I would do in a month in just 15 days. I had a 100% growth in my business! It just doubled up.

When I duplicated the practice to my team members, the team production skyrocketed as well.

I shared about it with many of my Mary Kay Sisters in Sabah, Sarawak, and Singapore. They have been getting amazing results and growth too!!

In a whole, I thought the Gratitude Journal was nonsense and made no practical sense. I took a chance on it and the universe has pulled up so many surprises in front of me. Why don’t you take a chance on it too? Who knows you get to secure the biggest deal ever that brings you millions of ringgit?

We approached Bavani to do the keynote address at the HRD Corp Bootcamp series. She was a perfect fit considering her years of experience playing different roles in the talent development arena. We wanted her to set the context of the bootcamp and give her perspective on the urgency for training professionals to move out of their comfort zone and develop their skills.

She did exactly that in her own unique way by framing the challenge against her own struggles with the fast growing pace of change both in the training industry and beyond. I’m sure her Mini story will be talked about for a long time. In addition, she also brought a global perspective to her keynote particularly her sharing from international speakers on how Malaysians should bring our local stories to the global stage.

Beyond the stage however, she continued contributing to the overall bootcamp experience by helping out where she could. In a way, she set the mood for the bootcamp by her actions. True to her goal of advocating gratitude, I firmly believe the camraderie and bonding shown by all in the bootcamps had a lot to do with her presence.

I got to know Ms Bavani when our beloved nation was undergoing the early stages of the Movement Control Order and I was working from home. Being new to WFH and I was so used to working with face-to-face communication, I was going through some tough and challenging times, I think like most others too. However, when I reached out to Ms Bavani, she politely obliged to work with me, walking me through those difficult times. Bavani helped me to discover and get to know the real me and the kind of traits I have through the Colored Brain method. I truly enjoyed the online sessions I would have with Ms Bavani and I really recommend her services to anyone who seem “lost”! Thank you Ms Bavani for all that you have done for me!
